- 1 cup Pearl Barley
- 3 cup Water
- ½ tsp pink Himalayan salt (optional)
Place 1 cup of barley in a bowl and cover 3 cups of water. Let soak for 8 hours. Drain and rinse before cooking.
In a medium pot bring the soaked pearl barley, water and salt over high heat to boil. When it has reached a boil cover the pot and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 45 minutes.
The barley is done when the most of the gains has burst open.
Before serving fluff with a fork.
